Almado

Touriga Nacional and Tempranillo in Chile's Central Valley – this is no coincidence, but a conscious decision by Torres to translate the Iberian grape variety DNA to the New World.

Torres is one of the world's most renowned wine families, with roots in Catalonia and a presence in Chile since the 1970s. The Almado demonstrates what happens when Iberian grape varieties meet the warm, dry climate of the Central Valley: ripe dark fruits—blackberry, plum, dried fig—combine with a spicy, toasty note reminiscent of toasted bread and dark chocolate. The Touriga Nacional contributes structure and floral depth, while the Tempranillo provides texture and a long, slightly leathery finish.

On the palate, the wine presents itself as full-bodied with soft, ripe tannins – approachable, but not without substance.
