Alamos Cabernet Sauvignon

Powerful Cabernet from the highlands of Mendoza – with a clear structure and aromatic depth that is rare at this price point.

Alamos belongs to the Catena Zapata family, one of Argentina's most influential wineries. The grapes grow in the higher elevations of the Mendoza Valley, where the cool nights intensify the aromas and stabilize the acidity.

In the glass, aromas of cassis, red currant, and a characteristic hint of eucalyptus and mint emerge – typical of high-altitude Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza. These are complemented by subtle notes of cigar tobacco and leather, imparted by aging in oak. The tannins are present but well-integrated; the finish is long and spicy.

Recommendation: Pairs well with grilled beef steaks, braised leg of lamb, or aged Manchego cheese. Serving temperature 16–18 °C. Ready to drink now, but will easily keep for another 3–4 years.
