Tuscany between Montepulciano and Cortona
La Braccesca is located where the hills of Montepulciano meet the plains of Cortona – one of the most climatically and geologically diverse corners of Tuscany. Across more than 330 hectares of vineyards, two characters meet: the cool elegance of Nobile di Montepulciano, grown on old Sangiovese vines at higher altitudes, and the dense, spicy Syrah from the clay-rich, sun-drenched soils at the foot of Cortona.
The estate has belonged to the Marchesi Antinori family since 1990 – a family that has shaped Tuscan viticulture since the 14th century. Their signature is also palpable here: no break with tradition, but consistent further development in the cellar. In the underground aging halls, barriques and larger European oak barrels store the wines, giving them structure without masking their origin.
