Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG

Prugnolo Gentile on Tuscan clay soils – this is the foundation of the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG from La Braccesca, one of the most well-known estates of the Antinori group in Tuscany.

La Braccesca has been managing its vineyards around Montepulciano and Cortona since the 1990s under the umbrella of the Antinori family. The wines follow the classic style of Vino Nobile: aging in large wooden barrels, clear language of origin, no modern excess of wood aromas.

In the glass, it shows a medium-deep ruby tone. On the nose, sour cherry, blackberry, and a hint of dried violets, plus fine spice of cedar wood. On the palate, medium body, firm but not hard tannins, lively acidity – typical for Prugnolo Gentile. The finish is long, with a slight balsamic note.

La Braccesca

La Braccesca lies in one of the most beautiful corners of Tuscany – where Montepulciano meets Cortona. Across more than 330 hectares of vineyards, a fascinating contrast thrives: the elegant Nobile di Montepulciano from old Sangiovese vines and the powerful Syrah of Cortona , which has found its ideal home in the clay-rich, hot soils at the foot of the city.

The estate has belonged to the Marchesi Antinori family since 1990 – and bears their signature: respect for tradition, courage to evolve. The underground cellars, where barriques and casks made of European oak mature, are symbolic of this. Wines that don't deny their origin – and yet tell its story anew.
