Illuminati —
Family winery since 1890 in Abruzzo
Illuminati is one of the most enduring names in Abruzzo : since 1890, the family has cultivated its 110 hectares on the Colline Teramane, a range of hills bordered by the Apennines to the west and the Adriatic Sea to the east. Five generations, 130 harvests — and to this day, everything from pruning to bottling takes place on the same estate.
The location is no accident. Temperature differences between the mountain air and the sea breeze create qualities that give the grapes structure and freshness. Montepulciano d'Abruzzo brings depth and dark fruit, while Pecorino and Passerina showcase the aromatic side of the region—mineral, vibrant, with a clear sense of origin in the glass.
The family emblem—a crescent moon and a candle—represents an attitude that is also reflected in the cellar: craftsmanship instead of glitz, honesty instead of gimmicks. Wines that don't need to explain where they come from because you can taste it.
