Ilico Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
The medium-heavy loamy soils on which the Montepulciano vines for the Ilico grow are located between the Apennines and the Adriatic at a good 260 meters altitude in the province of Teramo - Abruzzo.
In the first days of October, when the harvest takes place, the grapes are processed immediately.
The wine is aged for approx. 10 months in Slavonian oak and then matures for another 3-4 months in the bottle.
The color of the Ilico is a deep ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, red fruits appear and it leaves a pleasant impression.
In terms of taste, it shows a full body, appears profound, rich, and round, but also harmonious, and its finish is somewhat reminiscent of licorice.
