Zanna Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramana Riserva

On the hills along the banks of the Tronto River in Controguerra, which gently slopes down to the Adriatic Sea, the Montepulciano grapes used to produce Zanna thrive at an altitude of almost 290 meters. The pleasant climate and a cool breeze contribute to the high quality standards. The soils, composed of porous marl and clay, are among the oldest parts of the Illuminati estate. Zanna is only produced when the grapes meet the highest quality standards. It is aged in Slavonian oak for 24 to 26 months. Zanna is a deep ruby red, becoming garnet with age. Its aromas are reminiscent of black cherry and dried flowers. It has a particularly distinctive character, underscored by soft tannins and a velvety taste.

Illuminati

Illuminati from Abruzzo is more than a winery – it's a family story that began in 1890 and continues to this day. Five generations, 130 harvests, one place: the Colline Teramane, nestled between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea. Here, where the mountain air meets the sea breeze, Montepulciano, Pecorino, and Passerina grapes grow on 110 hectares – all family-owned, all cultivated by the family. From vineyard to bottle, everything happens in one place. You can taste it in the glass: wines that reflect this special piece of land. The family emblem – a crescent moon and a candle – represents what drives Illuminati: bringing light to their own heritage, knowing their roots without getting stuck in the past. Wine as an honest craft, not a glossy, mass-produced product.
