225,000 vines grow on 75 hectares – including the rare Tintilla de Rota , an almost forgotten Andalusian rarity. Wines with true character mature in over 450 French and American oak barrels: dark-fruited, complex, and full of southern warmth.

Huerta de Albalá lies in the rolling hills of the province of Cádiz , nestled between the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park and the Atlantic-influenced climate of southern Andalusia. Vicente Taberner founded the winery 25 years ago on an estate that had previously been largely unknown as a wine-growing region – and that was precisely the starting point for something unique.

225,000 vines grow on 75 hectares, including Tintilla de Rota: an almost extinct Andalusian grape variety that Taberner has brought back through consistent work in the vineyard. The wines mature in over 450 barrels made of French and American oak – for varying lengths of time depending on the cuvée, always with the aim of preserving the dark fruit and southern warmth of the region without overpowering them.

What ends up in the glasses is not a polished export wine, but an honest reflection of this landscape: deeply fruity, structured, and with a character reminiscent of blackberry, leather, and dried herbs. Wines for the table, not for the display case – perfect with lamb, aged Manchego cheese, or an evening of regional tapas.
