Red wines from the heart of Chianti Classico
Fèlsina is located in the southernmost tip of Chianti Classico, near Castelnuovo Berardenga – where the hills become flatter, the summers hotter, and the soils richer in clay than in the cool north of the zone. It is precisely this location that shapes the style of the winery: powerful, structured red wines with great staying power that show both warmth and depth.
The focus is on Sangiovese, supplemented by Cabernet Sauvignon – two grape varieties that have defined the character of the house together for decades. Cellar master Giuseppe Mazzocolin and his team rely on classic aging: maturation in large wooden barrels, minimal intervention, and plenty of patience. The result is wines with aromas of dark cherry, tobacco, and Mediterranean herbs, a firm tannin structure, and the typical acidity of Sangiovese.
