Angerville Meursault Santenots

Domaine d'Angerville –
Pinot Noir from the heart of Volnay

Domaine d'Angerville is one of the most influential names in the Côte de Beaune – and has been for almost a century. The estate is located in the village of Volnay , one of Burgundy's most stylish appellations, known for Pinot Noir of fine texture and aromatic precision. The d'Angerville family has been cultivating their plots since the 1920s, including some of the village's most prestigious Premier Cru vineyards: Champans, Clos des Ducs, and Taillepieds.

It was Marquis Jacques d'Angerville who, in the 1930s, was one of the first Burgundians to consistently focus on estate bottling – at a time when négociants dominated the market. This independence remains part of the house's identity to this day. Today, Guillaume d'Angerville manages the estate with the same approach: organic cultivation of the vineyards, gentle vinification, and extended aging in the cellar.

In the glass, the wines reveal what makes Volnay special: red berry fruit, floral notes, a silky texture, and a long, mineral finish. Anyone who wants to not only drink Burgundy but truly understand it will find a reliable starting point here.
