Since 2018, the estate has held the HVE certificate (Haute Valeur Environnementale) – an honest commitment to sustainable viticulture that is noticeable in the glass.

Château Roc de Levraut is located in southeastern Bordeaux, in the hilly landscape around Sauveterre de Guyenne —a region less well-known than Pauillac or Saint-Émilion, but whose limestone-clay terroir produces distinctive, characterful wines. Rémi Ballarin cultivates the 42 hectares of vines with a small team of five people, who oversee the entire vintage from pruning to bottling.
Since 2018, the estate has held the HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certificate, the highest level of French sustainability certification in viticulture. Specifically, this means reduced use of pesticides, preservation of biodiversity, and responsible management of water resources—decisions that Ballarin sees not as a marketing tool, but as a fundamental requirement for consistently good wine.
In the cellar, Bordeaux Rouge and Bordeaux Supérieur wines are produced, based on Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. These wines exhibit the typical structure of the Right Bank—dark fruit, soft tannins, and a pleasant finish—and are equally suitable for a midweek dinner or a special occasion. They are exported to over a dozen countries, from Germany to Japan.
