Caldora Vini – the soul of Abruzzo. The Fantini Group has established its winery in Castello Caldora in Ortona, a 15th-century fortress. With respect for the cultural heritage and millennia-old winemaking tradition, they cultivate 1,500 hectares of vineyards between the Majella Mountains and the Adriatic coast. The microclimate is ideal for Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Trebbiano, Pecorino, and Cerasuolo. Just 18 miles from the sea, sheltered by mountains – perfect conditions. Caldora Vini is located in Castello Caldora in Ortona – a 15th-century fortress that now serves as a winery and aging facility. The Fantini Group deliberately chose this location: the historic building represents a winemaking tradition that began in Abruzzo long before modern appellations.

The vineyards stretch across 1,500 hectares between the Majella Mountains and the Adriatic coast. Located approximately 30 kilometers as the crow flies from the sea, with protective mountains at their backs, the microclimate favors slow ripening and pronounced aromatics. Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Trebbiano, Pecorino, and Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo are the grape varieties that find their most compelling expression here.
