Cabriz

The Cabriz winery was founded in 1990 as Qunta do Cabriz. Around 1999, the winery opened, including the main building, Adão Dão Sul. In 2006, the name was changed to Cabriz, following a rebranding to "Selected Harvest" in 2002 aimed at achieving greater market penetration. In 2011, the Cabriz Colheita Seleccionada 2008 achieved 90 Wine Spectador points, earning a place among the magazine's top 100 wines. This success was repeated in 2016, followed in 2017 by Robert Parker's "Best Value Wines" award for the Colheita Seleccionada Tinto. Today, Cabriz offers a wide portfolio of Dão wines at a favorable price-performance ratio and has become one of the leading wine producers in the Dão region.

Cabriz –
artisanal Dão wines from the heart of Portugal

Cabriz originated from Quinta do Cabriz, a winery founded in 1990 in the heart of the Dão region of central Portugal. In 1999, the winery opened under the umbrella of Adão Dão Sul – one of the region's leading players. What began as a classic estate winery has evolved over the years into one of the most renowned names in the Dão.

The transformation came gradually: in 2002, Cabriz adopted the "Selected Harvest" concept for a clearer positioning, followed by the final rebranding in 2006. The move paid off – in 2011, the Colheita Seleccionada 2008 was ranked among the 100 best wines of the year, receiving 90 points in Wine Spectator, a result repeated in 2016. In 2017, Robert Parker named the Colheita Seleccionada Tinto "Best Value Wine".

Today, Cabriz represents a wide range of Dão wines that combine accessibility and quality. The wines reflect the cool, highland terroir of the region: structured, with fresh acidity and the characteristic profile of native grape varieties such as Touriga Nacional and Encruzado.
