The Cabriz winery was founded in 1990 as Qunta do Cabriz. Around 1999, the winery opened, including the main building, Adão Dão Sul. In 2006, the name was changed to Cabriz, following a rebranding to "Selected Harvest" in 2002 aimed at achieving greater market penetration. In 2011, the Cabriz Colheita Seleccionada 2008 achieved 90 Wine Spectador points, earning a place among the magazine's top 100 wines. This success was repeated in 2016, followed in 2017 by Robert Parker's "Best Value Wines" award for the Colheita Seleccionada Tinto. Today, Cabriz offers a wide portfolio of Dão wines at a favorable price-performance ratio and has become one of the leading wine producers in the Dão region.

Cabriz –
Craftsmanship and awards from the Dão
Cabriz has its origin in the Quinta do Cabriz, which was founded in 1990 in the Portuguese Dão. Nine years later, the winery was built with the main building Adão Dão Sul – the foundation stone for a winery that has since consistently focused on the strengths of this cool highland region: granite-influenced soils, Atlantic-influenced summers, and the indigenous grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Jaen, and Encruzado.
The breakthrough on the international stage came in 2011, when the Colheita Seleccionada 2008 was rated 90 points by Wine Spectator and voted among the 100 best wines of the vintage. In 2016, this result was repeated, and in 2017, the "Best Value Wines" award from Robert Parker followed for the Colheita Seleccionada Tinto – an award that hits the nail on the head regarding the ratio of quality and price.
Today, the Cabriz portfolio includes a wide spectrum of Dão wines: from accessible entry-level sites to single-varietal cuvées with aging potential. Anyone who does not yet know the Dão region will find a reliable introduction here; those who love it will find a producer who consistently brings its peculiarities into the glass.
