Vinas del Vero Vinas del Vero Luces Tinto

Vinas del Vero Vinas del Vero Luces Tinto
An approachable red wine from the heart of Aragón – fruity, round and uncomplicated in the best sense.
Viñas del Vero is located in Somontano, one of Spain's most exciting wine regions at the foot of the Pyrenees. The winery combines international grape varieties with the region's harsh continental climate – hot summers, cold nights, and barren limestone soils. The Luces Tinto is a classic blend of three grape varieties, showcasing the approachable style of the estate: solid craftsmanship without unnecessary detours.
In the glass, it shines a deep ruby red with violet reflections. The nose offers ripe cherries and blackberries, along with a hint of blackcurrant and a subtle toasty note from brief oak aging. On the palate, it's soft, with a gentle tannin structure and a pleasant spiciness on the finish – not a wine for long discussions, but one that reliably delivers.

The Spanish winery Viñas del Vero was founded in 1986 in the Somontano region and initially had about 550 hectares of vineyards. Since 2008, the company has belonged to the Sherry group González Byass. Today, the winery owns over 1000 hectares of vineyards, which consist mainly of sandstone soils with chalk and clay components. In the Somontano region, there is a temperate climate, which is characterized by cold winters and rather short summers. The average temperature here is 11°C. Furthermore, Viñas del Vero has a state-of-the-art wine cellar with tall stainless steel tanks, which, thanks to their size and the use of gravity, make mechanical means unnecessary. The winery's cultivated grape varieties include Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Chardonnay, Garnacha and Merlot. Viñas del Vero produces approx. five million bottles of wine annually.
