Vinas del Vero Vinas del Vero Luces Blanco
A white wine from the Pyrenean foothills of Aragon, made for uncomplicated, fresh drinking pleasure — without much preparation, straight from the fridge into the glass.
Viñas del Vero is one of the most renowned estates in the DO Somontano appellation of northeastern Spain. The winery lies at the foot of the Pyrenees, where the climate is continental: hot, dry summers are balanced by cool nights—a combination that gives white wines both ripe fruit and preserved freshness. The soils alternate between limestone and clay, imparting a subtle minerality to the wine.
In the glass, the Luces Blanco displays a pale straw yellow with delicate greenish reflections. The nose is aromatic and approachable: white blossoms, ripe pear, a hint of peach, and fresh herbal spice in the background. On the palate, it is light-bodied with lively acidity that keeps the wine lean and easy to drink. The finish is short, fresh, and clean—not a wine for lengthy analysis, but for the moment.
Serving temperature: 8–10 °C . Best drunk young, ideally within the next one to two years.
It goes well with grilled vegetables with aioli, goat cheese, light pasta dishes with lemon sauce, shrimp, or as a relaxed aperitif on warm evenings.
