Vigna di Paola Malvasia IGT Sicily

A white wine that captures the wild stillness of the Mediterranean in the bottle: The Malvasia from the Vigna di Paola vineyard grows in the south of Vulcano, in the Gelso area — one of the most remote corners of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Tenuta Capofaro, the Tasca d'Almerita family winery, specializes in Malvasia on the Aeolian Islands. Vulcano's volcanic soil, the salty maritime climate, and the intense Sicilian sun directly shape the character of the vines. The Vigna di Paola is the wine from the estate's southernmost vineyard—a single-vineyard expression of this exceptional origin.

In the glass, it displays the aromatic profile that Malvasia typically develops on volcanic soils: ripe yellow citrus, peach, and apricot, underpinned by a salty-mineral note reminiscent of sea air. The finish is dry, fresh, and long. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C.

It goes well with grilled fish, seafood with lemon, or a simple seafood salad. It's also delicious on its own as an aperitif on the terrace—ideally with a sea view.
