Trapiche Oak Cask Cabernet Sauvignon

Trapiche Oak Cask Cabernet Sauvignon
An approachable Malbec classic from Mendoza that shows why Trapiche has been one of Argentina's most famous wineries for over 140 years — structured, aromatic and straight to the point.
Trapiche was founded in Mendoza in 1883 and is now one of the most awarded wineries in the country. The Oak Cask Cabernet Sauvignon matures for nine months in barriques made of American and French Limousin oak—a process that gives the wine depth without overpowering it.
In the glass, it opens with aromas of black cherry and blackberry, followed by cedar, tobacco, and a hint of dark spices. The tannins are ripe and well-integrated, the body full without heaviness. The finish is medium-long with a slightly woody spice. James Suckling awarded 90 points to the 2019 vintage—a reliable indicator of quality in this price range.
Serving suggestion: Serve slightly chilled at 16–18 °C. Pairs well with grilled beef steak, herb-crusted lamb chops, or a hearty lentil stew. Also delicious on its own as an uncomplicated evening wine.
