Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos from Tokaj-Oremus — this is the highest level of the classic Puttonyos scale, a sweet wine that shows the essence of the Tokaj region in its most concentrated form. Six baskets (Puttonyos) of Aszú berries, affected by Botrytis cinerea and with residual sugar of over 150 g/l, determine the character of this wine.

The Tokaj-Oremus winery is located in the heart of the Hungarian Tokaj region, one of the oldest and most renowned wine-growing areas in the world. The cuvée combines the three classic grape varieties of Tokaj: Furmint brings the taut acidity structure, Hárslevelű the floral depth, Zéta the filling texture. Together, they contribute to the fact that this wine never feels heavy despite its sweetness.

In the glass, the wine glows in a deep golden yellow. Aromas of honey, quince jam, dried apricot, and a hint of ginger, underneath an earthy, mineral layer reminiscent of volcanic tuff soil. On the palate, a lively acidity balances the intense sweetness — the finish is long, spicy, with an aftertaste of orange peel and roasted nuts.

Best served at 10–12 °C — with foie gras pâté, strong blue cheeses like Roquefort or Gorgonzola, or as a standalone conclusion to a festive menu.
