Terrazas de los Andes Cabernet Sauvignon

A Cabernet Sauvignon from the highlands of Mendoza — structured, spicy, with the typical weight of the Andean terroirs.

Bodegas Terrazas cultivates its grapes in the Luján de Cuyo and Uco valleys, both located in Mendoza. The significant differences in altitude—reaching over 1,000 meters—result in long, cool nights, intense UV radiation, and consequently, thick-skinned grapes with deep color and pronounced tannin structure.

In the glass, it displays a dark ruby red color. The nose offers aromas of blackberry and black cherry, along with notes of pepper, tobacco, and dried herbs. After 12–14 months of aging in French oak barrels and a further six months of bottle maturation, vanilla and a hint of cedar emerge. The tannins are present but integrated, leading to a medium-long, spicy finish.

Bodegas Terrazas

Terrazas de los Andes – wine from the high altitudes of the Argentinian Andes. At elevations between 900 and over 1,400 meters, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes thrive under intense sunshine, cooled by cold mountain winds. The idea: the higher the vineyard, the cooler the climate – the more vibrant the wine. Fresh fruit, fine structure, true depth. What makes Terrazas special? The respect for the altitude. Each vineyard brings its own unique character. The result: wines that showcase Argentina – powerful, warming, surprisingly fresh.
