Tappa Pass

Henschke's Tappa Pass Shiraz 2021 shows what the Barossa Valley is capable of: deep fruit, structure and a finish that lingers.

Henschke is one of Australia's most renowned family wineries – rooted in the Eden and Barossa Valleys since 1868, now in its fifth generation. Tappa Pass is their more accessible entry point into the Barossa terroir, vinified with the same craftsmanship that distinguishes their iconic wines.

In the glass, the 2021 vintage displays dark blackberry and blueberry, underpinned by a hint of dark chocolate and toasted oak. The tannins are present but not harsh – they provide structure without being stringent. The finish is warm and lingering, with a subtle peppery spice typical of Barossa Shiraz.

Serving suggestion: Best served at 16–18 °C. Pairs well with braised lamb rump, brisket, or a strong cheese such as aged Cheddar. Drink now until 2028.
