Schloss Lieser "Kabinettstück" Riesling Qualitätswein trocken

A dry Mosel Riesling with a clear character: herbaceous, citrusy and with the typical slate minerality that one knows from Lieser.

Schloss Lieser is situated directly on the Middle Moselle, nestled between Bernkastel and Brauneberg. The winery, which Thomas Haag has consistently developed since the 1990s, is considered one of the most reliable producers of dry Moselle Rieslings with substance. The "Kabinettstück" is the approachable entry point into the range—vinified for freshness and drinkability.

In the glass, it displays cool aromas: lemon zest, fresh herbal spice, a hint of elderflower, and a slightly mineral undertone. On the palate, it is lean and lively, with invigorating acidity and a delicate extract sweetness that softens the finish without masking the dryness. Not a heavyweight—but precise.

Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 9–11 °C. Pairs well with Asian cuisine with citrus notes, grilled sea bass, light poultry, or a simple goat cheese. Also a great choice as an uncomplicated aperitif on warm evenings.

Lieser Castle

The Schloss Lieser winery boasts a fascinating history dating back to the 19th century. In 1904, Eduard Puricelli acquired Schloss Lieser and began cultivating vines. Today, the winery is owned by the Nett family and represents a long tradition of producing high-quality Moselle wines. Picturesquely situated on the banks of the Moselle River, it encompasses some of the region's finest vineyards. The steep slopes and slate soil offer ideal conditions for growing Riesling, the winery's primary grape variety. The winery combines traditional winemaking methods with modern technology to produce wines of exceptional quality. The Schloss Lieser portfolio includes a wide range of wines that reflect the diversity and quality of the Moselle region. Particularly noteworthy are the Rieslings, the winery's signature wines, renowned for their elegance, freshness, and minerality. In addition, the winery also produces other grape varieties such as Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc, which perfectly express the terroir and the winemaker's expertise. At Schloss Lieser, quality is paramount. The winery relies on meticulous handwork in the vineyard and gentle processing of the grapes in the cellar to unlock the full potential of the wines. Winemaking is carried out using traditional methods and state-of-the-art viticultural techniques to produce wines of the highest quality and authenticity.
