Sauvignon Blanc AC Touraine 0.75L
An uncomplicated introduction to the Loire Valley: Baron Briare's Sauvignon Blanc shows why Touraine is considered the home of the grape variety — vinified clearly, freshly and dry.
The Touraine appellation lies in the central Loire Valley, where Sauvignon Blanc grapes thrive on clay and limestone soils, developing aromatic and acidic characteristics. Baron Briare is known for classically crafted Loire white wines that directly express the region's character in the glass.
On the nose, gooseberry, green apple, and a hint of elderflower—the typical aroma profile of a cool Loire vintage. Lively on the palate, with crisp acidity and a short, citrusy finish. Not heavy, but precise and very drinkable.
Serve well chilled at 8–10 °C . Pairs well with Loire goat cheese (Crottin de Chavignol), asparagus with hollandaise sauce, or light fish dishes. Also a solid choice as an aperitif on warm evenings.
