Saint-Veran

A Chardonnay from southern Burgundy that begins with clear citrus fruit and lively acidity and remains lean and precise in the glass. The Saint-Véran from Château Fuissé shows how much elegance is hidden in the Mâconnais.

Château Fuissé is located in the village of Fuissé in the heart of the Mâconnais and is considered one of the most well-known addresses in the region. The Saint-Véran appellation borders the sites of Pouilly-Fuissé and stands for white wines made from pure Chardonnay: direct, fresh, and with drive.

On the nose and palate, citrus notes dominate, accompanied by mineral nuances. The fresh acidity gives the wine structure, the mouthfeel is balanced and fine, and the finish remains clear and lively. Burgundian finesse without heaviness.

Serve it at 8–10 °C. It pairs well with oysters, fried fish, or chicken with lemon, as well as mild goat cheese. It also makes a good impression as an aperitif among friends.

Château Fuissé

Château Fuissé stands for white and red Burgundy as well as Beaujolais as it should be: clear in origin, convincing in the glass. At Vinoscout, you will find five wines from the range – from accessible Chardonnay to more mature bottles that may cost a little more.

The price range of around 20 to just under 75 euros makes the selection just as interesting for beginners as it is for those who already know and appreciate Burgundy. Whether it's Gamay from Beaujolais or classic Chardonnay – a closer look is definitely worth it here.
