Roveglia Cabernet Sauvignon Ruvus Garda

Roveglia Cabernet Sauvignon Ruvus Garda
Cabernet Sauvignon from Lake Garda – that sounds unusual, but it makes perfect sense here. Tenuta Roveglia cultivates its vineyards south of Lake Garda on limestone soils around 50 meters above the lake's surface. The mild Lake Garda climate – warm summers, cool nights thanks to the mountain breeze – gives the Cabernet time to ripen aromatically without losing the freshness that this grape variety often lacks in warmer climates.
In the glass, a brilliant ruby red with a violet rim. The nose reveals black cherry and ripe cassis, followed by herbal hints – rosemary, a touch of dried thyme – and a subtle mineral note derived from the limestone subsoil. On the palate, the Ruvus is approachable and elegant: soft, well-integrated tannins, a lively acidity that supports the wine without being harsh, and a fine mineral aftertaste in the medium-length finish.
A red wine that doesn't need long waiting times and brings great pleasure now. Drinking window until 2026. Serving temperature 16–18 °C.

On the southern shore of Lake Garda, in the heart of the Lugana DOC , Tenuta Roveglia has been telling a story for generations – one that speaks of passion, patience and a deep connection with the land.
The soils here are something special: glacial clay deposits that give the wines an almost inimitable freshness and minerality. The grape variety of choice is Turbiana – a characterful grape that truly shines here. Whether lively and fruity or mature and creamy – Roveglia demonstrates the true depth of this grape.
