Roveglia Cabernet Sauvignon Ruvus Garda

Cabernet Sauvignon from Lake Garda – that sounds unusual, but makes sense here. The Tenuta Roveglia manages its sites south of Lake Garda on limestone soils about 50 meters above lake level. The mild Lake Garda climate – warm summers, cool nights due to the mountain wind – gives the Cabernet time to ripen aromatically without losing the freshness that this grape variety often lacks in warmer zones.

In the glass, bright ruby red with a violet rim. On the nose, black cherry and ripe cassis appear, behind them herbal touches – rosemary, a hint of dried thyme – and a subtle mineral note that originates from the limestone subsoil. On the palate, the Ruvus presents itself as accessible and lean: soft, well-integrated tannins, a lively line of acidity that supports the wine without appearing too edgy, and a fine mineral aftertaste in the medium-long finish.

A red wine that needs no long waiting times and brings much joy now. Serving temperature 16–18 °C.
