Roner Bombardino 1.0L
Bombardino is the classic mountain hut magic of South Tyrol — a creamy eggnog liqueur that is standard fare in every alpine hut between Merano and Cortina. It unfolds its full aroma when drunk warm.
The Roner distillery in Tramin on the South Tyrolean Wine Route has been producing spirits and liqueurs from South Tyrolean ingredients since 1946. Their Bombardino follows the traditional recipe: egg, cream, alcohol, and spice aromas combine to create a well-rounded, full-bodied liqueur with 17% alcohol by volume.
In the glass, it displays a velvety, almost pudding-like texture. The nose offers vanilla, egg yolk, and a hint of nutmeg. On the palate, it is sweet and creamy with a gentle warmth, and a short, buttery-vanilla finish.
Classic preparation: Stir 20 cl of Bombardino with 40 cl of hot milk, add a shot of dark rum if desired — top with a dollop of whipped cream. Alternatively, serve heated neat in a cup or as a base for winter desserts.
