Portada Tinto Medium Sweet

A lovely red wine from Portugal that openly displays its strengths: ripe fruit, a soft texture and pleasant residual sweetness, making the wine accessible even for beginners or relaxed evenings.

DFJ Vinhos is one of Portugal's largest and most active wineries. The estate works with grape varieties from across the country and is known for producing uncomplicated, easy-drinking wines of good quality. The Portada line is aimed at a broad audience, foregoing any pretension in favor of approachability.

In the glass, the wine shines a rich ruby red. The nose opens with aromas of blackberry compote, ripe cherries, and a hint of honey. On the palate, it is soft and round, with noticeable but not cloying residual sweetness, medium body, and low tannins—the finish is short and fruity.

  • Temperature: 14–16 °C, serve slightly chilled
  • Pairs well with: Spicy dishes like chili, BBQ ribs, or teriyaki chicken — the residual sweetness balances the heat nicely. Also good with strong blue cheese or as a dessert accompaniment to dark chocolate.
  • Occasion: Uncomplicated everyday life, barbecue evening, introduction to Portuguese red wines

DFJ Vinhos

DFJ Vinhos is among the most exciting winemakers in Portugal – and for good reason. Behind the winery is José Neiva Correia , one of the country's most experienced oenologists, who works with passion and precision.

What makes DFJ so special? The wines reflect the full diversity of Portugal: from crisp Atlantic whites to deep, characterful reds from the country's best regions. The result is wines that, despite their awards – including Platinum, Gold, and Best Buy – never lose touch with everyday life. Pure drinking pleasure, not awe.
