Pinot Gris Grand Cru Bernard Massard

Pinot Gris from Luxembourg is overshadowed by its Alsatian neighbors — unjustly so. Bernard Massard's Grand Cru interpretation shows what slate soils and a cool climate can bring out in this grape variety.

The Bernard Massard winery is one of Luxembourg's most renowned estates, with roots in the Moselle Valley. The Grand Cru vineyard yields riper fruit combined with a firm minerality – a combination that gains further depth through months of aging on the lees.

In the glass, the Pinot Gris displays aromas of yellow apple, quince, and a hint of candied citrus peel. Leche aging imparts a slightly creamy texture without diminishing its freshness. The finish is long, with a pronounced minerality reminiscent of the slate soils of the Luxembourg Moselle vineyards—salty, crisp, and lingering.

Domaine Bernard Massard

Bernard-Massard – Luxembourg wine and sparkling wine art. The vineyards extend over 42 kilometers on the slopes of the Mosel, with calcareous soils in the north and loamy soils in the south. A terroir that produces noble sparkling wines and fruity still wines.

In Grevenmacher, in the heart of the northern vineyards, lies the historic cellar building with its famous barrel cellar. Over decades, Bernard-Massard became the most significant family-run sparkling wine house in Luxembourg.

Together with the partner estates Clos des Rochers and Château de Schengen, it counts among the best white wine producers in the region.
