Domaine Bernard Massard is based in Grevenmacher, one of the oldest wine towns on the Luxembourg Moselle. The historic cellar building with its expansive barrel cellar has defined the image of the house for decades – here, sparkling wines are created that build on one of the country's oldest viticultural traditions.
The vineyards stretch for 42 kilometers along the Moselle slopes. In the north, calcareous soils dominate, giving the wines freshness and minerality; in the south, loamy sites provide more body and fruit. This coexistence of two soil types is the foundation for the house's broad spectrum – from lively Crémants to fruity still white wines.
As the most significant family-run sparkling wine house in Luxembourg, Bernard Massard works closely with the partner estates Clos des Rochers and Château de Schengen. Together, they stand for an independent white wine style that clearly reflects the peculiarities of the Luxembourg Moselle – without leaning on large neighboring regions.
