Pinot Blanc Grand Cru Bernard Massard

Pinot Blanc Grand Cru Bernard Massard
A Pinot Blanc with substance: fresh fruit, fine minerality, and a long finish — from one of the oldest wineries in Luxembourg.
Bernard Massard was founded in 1921 in Grevenmacher on the Moselle and is one of the best-known wine producers in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The house works with sites along the Luxembourg Moselle, where Keuper and shell limestone soils give the Pinot Blanc its characteristic freshness and mineral tension.
In the glass, the Grand Cru shows light straw yellow. On the nose, ripe apple, white pear, and a hint of citrus blossom. On the palate, medium-weight, with lively acidity and a subtle mineral note in the background. The finish is persistent and clean.
- Food: Fried turbot, asparagus with sauce hollandaise, goat cheese, or creamy pasta with mushrooms

Bernard-Massard – Luxembourg's art of wine and sparkling wine. The vineyards stretch for 42 kilometers along the slopes of the Moselle, with calcareous soils in the north and loamy soils in the south. A terroir that produces elegant sparkling wines and fruity still wines. In Grevenmacher, in the heart of the northern vineyards, lies the historic winery building with its renowned barrel cellar. Over decades, Bernard-Massard has become Luxembourg's most important family-run sparkling wine producer. Together with its partner estates Clos des Rochers and Château de Schengen, it is among the region's finest white wine producers.
