Pinot Gris Château de Schengen

Pinot Gris Château de Schengen
A Pinot Gris from Luxembourg, grown on slate soils along the Moselle – one of the few Pinot Gris wines that truly reflects its terroir.
Château de Schengen is located in the town of the same name on the Luxembourg Moselle, known primarily for the Schengen Agreement of 1985. The vineyard benefits from the delayed microclimate of the Moselle bend and the mineral-rich slate subsoil, which is reflected in the wine as a distinct stoniness.
In the glass, the Pinot Gris displays aromas of yellow apple and citrus peel, underpinned by a subtle slate note. Aging on the lees gives the wine a creamy texture without diminishing its freshness – the finish remains salty and mineral, inviting another sip.
Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Pairs well with pike-perch fillet with caper butter, mild goat cheese, or a quiche Lorraine. Also an uncomplicated choice as an aperitif.
