Peperino Tuscany Rosso 1.5L Magnum

The Peperino from Teruzzi is a classic Tuscan wine with real character – including barrel aging, but without wood dominance.

Teruzzi is one of Tuscany's established names and is best known for its Vernaccia di San Gimignano. With Peperino, the winery demonstrates what the region also has to offer in red wines: earthy fruit, expertly crafted. Eight months in barriques – 10% new oak, the rest once-used – give the wine structure without overpowering the fruit.

In the glass, it displays dark cherry and plum, along with a subtle hint of vanilla and toasty aromas from the barrel. The body is full, the tannins well-integrated and soft enough to drink now. The finish is pleasantly long.

In the 1.5-liter magnum bottle – ideal for larger gatherings – it pairs well with pasta with ragù , grilled lamb, or a cheese platter featuring medium-aged varieties such as Pecorino or Manchego. Serving temperature: 16–18 °C.

Teruzzi

Teruzzi – Tuscan wine with history. Founded in 1974 by Enrico Teruzzi and his wife Carmen Puthod, the winery is located about an hour's drive southwest of Florence. Today it belongs to the Terra Moretti Group – but the roots have remained. 180 hectares of land, 94 of which are vineyards. The soils of yellow sand and clay are loose, allowing the vines to root deeply. Warm summers, cool winters – ideal conditions for Sangiovese, Merlot, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, and Chardonnay. The wines mature in stainless steel or wood, with 1.2 million bottles produced annually. Tuscany that you can taste.
