OM 500

OM 500
The OM 500 is a tribute to five centuries of viticulture on Mallorca — powerful at the start, then increasingly fresh and balanced.
Oliver Moragues is one of the island's oldest wineries. Over 500 years of tradition shape the approach to the terroir: each grape variety is vinified separately, and the grapes are selected by hand in the vineyard. The cuvée combines native Mallorcan varieties with international ones — a combination that leverages the strengths of both worlds.
In the glass, the OM 500 shows a deep ruby red. On the nose, red cherries and blackberries, plus dark plum and a hint of herbs. On the palate, it is initially dense and present, then opens up with a fresh structure and well-integrated tannins. The finish is long and elegant.
- Food: Leg of lamb with rosemary, grilled Ibérico pork, or mature Manchego
- Temperature: 16–18 °C

For over 500 years, Oliver Moragues has been closely linked to Mallorca. On the historic estate in Algaida, wines are created that combine the history of the island with modern viticulture – authentic, full of character, and with great passion for the local grape varieties.
Particularly impressive is the commitment to the almost forgotten Giró Ros grape variety. Despite its name, it is a white grape variety that was cultivated on Mallorca before the phylloxera crisis and is rarely found today. Together with Prensal Blanc, Callet, and Mantonegro, they create elegant, profound wines that reflect the Mediterranean landscape, the special climate, and the unique character of Mallorca in every glass. Those who want to taste the island will find its most original side at Oliver Moragues.
