°Nuragus di Cagliari DOC

Nuragus is one of the oldest grape varieties in Sardinia — native to the island for millennia and long underestimated. Audarya, a winery from the south of Sardinia near Cagliari, has taken on this autochthonous variety and shows what it is capable of: a white wine with real character that goes far beyond what one expects from an everyday wine.

In the glass, the °Nuragus di Cagliari DOC shows a bright, lively color. The nose is aromatic and multi-layered — Mediterranean herbs, a hint of dried citrus peel, and some floral scent. On the palate, it is soft and harmonious, with a fresh acidity structure that keeps the wine lively without dominating. The finish is clear and pleasantly mineral.

Serving temperature 9–11 °C. On the table, it does what Sardinian wines do best: it goes with everything the Mediterranean has to offer. Grilled fish, seafood with lemon, light pasta with mussels, or a plate of Pecorino and pickled vegetables — the Nuragus fits in without being intrusive. It also cuts a fine figure as an uncomplicated aperitif on a warm evening.
