"Now or never" Petnat - Organic

A Pétillant Naturel that takes its name seriously: The "Now or never" from Georg Preisinger is a lively sparkling wine made from Blaufränkisch that impresses with fine mousse and an uncomplicated character. Not a wine to ponder over — but to open.

The Preisinger winery in Gols on Lake Neusiedl has been around for five generations. Georg Preisinger completed his training in Klosterneuburg and then gained experience in Germany, California and South Africa — this perspective beyond the horizon is palpable in his work. The focus is on indigenous varieties, hand-picking and consistent hand-picking in small crates so that the grapes arrive in the cellar as undamaged as possible. The winery operates organically.

In the glass, the Blaufränkisch Petnat shows aromas of sour cherry and red berries, plus a hint of peach and floral notes. The mousse is fine and creamy, the finish slightly tart with a subtle residual sweetness — typical of the Méthode ancestrale, where bottle fermentation creates the natural carbonation.

Serve well chilled at 8–10 °C. Pairs with antipasti, charcuterie or as an aperitif on warm evenings — best without a big occasion, simply because the moment demands it.
