Meerlust Chardonnay

The Meerlust Chardonnay comes from one of South Africa's most traditional wineries – the Meerlust Estate in the Stellenbosch region, not far from the coast of the Indian Ocean. Those who appreciate classically vinified Chardonnay that combines depth and elegance without becoming heavy will find here a wine that achieves both.

In the glass, it displays a bright golden yellow with green reflections , shining and inviting. The bouquet is complex and multifaceted: ripe pear, citrus fruits, delicate floral notes , and a subtle vanilla-oak aroma that accentuates the fruit without overpowering it. On the palate, it unfolds with a full body and generous richness – creamy, with harmonious acidity , hints of tropical fruits, and a long, elegant finish.

It's especially delicious served with scallops, aged Comté cheese, roasted poultry, or a creamy risotto . If you prefer to enjoy it on its own, pour it at around 12–13 °C and let it breathe briefly.

Meerlust Wine Estate

Meerlust Wine Estate – for over 250 years a name synonymous with unforgettable wines. Just 15 kilometers south of Stellenbosch, barely five kilometers from False Bay. The proximity to the sea brings cool breezes and coastal mist – the grapes ripen slowly, evenly, with true depth. Owned by the Myburgh family since 1756, the estate is now run by Hannes Myburgh, the eighth generation, with respect for its heritage and a clear vision for the future. Its most famous wine: Rubicon. A red wine that put Stellenbosch on the world map. Powerful, elegant, with the potential to age for many years. South Africa at its best.
