Sauvignon Sandis Friuli DOC

Sauvignon Sandis Friuli DOC
A Friuli Sauvignon with a clear signature: spicy, structured, with the aromatic profile one expects from cool locations in Collio or Isonzo – not a tropical fruit bomb, but a work of herbs.
Marco Felluga is one of the most influential names in Friuli. The winery was founded in 1956 and today cultivates around 100 hectares in the Collio DOC. The family is known for single-varietal white wines with a mineral backbone – typical of the Pontina soils of sandy limestone and marl (locally called Ponca ), which give the Sauvignon Blanc its characteristic spiciness.
In the glass, golden yellow with green reflections. On the nose, sage, white pepper, and elderflower – the classic herbal profile of a cool Sauvignon Blanc. On the palate, medium-bodied, lively acidity without harshness, pleasantly long, slightly mineral finish.
Best served between 8 and 10 °C . Drinking window: now until 2026. Pairs well with:
- Grilled sea bass or monkfish with herbs
- Ricotta ravioli with sage butter
- Goat cheese or young Pecorino
