MAN Vintners Chardonnay Padstal

MAN Vintners Chardonnay Padstal
South Africa's roadsides are lined with small farm stands – known as padstals – where craftsmanship and agriculture meet. This down-to-earth attitude is also reflected in this Chardonnay from MAN Vintners.
MAN Vintners is a joint project of three South African winemakers from the Western Cape region who strive for everyday quality wines without the added expense of label prestige. The Padstal Chardonnay matures briefly in barriques – just long enough to give the wine structure and a slightly creamy texture without masking the fruit.
The glass reveals citrus zest, lime, and ripe peach, underpinned by a hint of butterscotch and vanilla from the barrel aging. The finish is fresh, with moderate acidity and a smooth mouthfeel.

Man Vintners focuses on quality wines that offer outstanding value for money and come in attractive packaging. José Condé and the brothers Tyrrell and Philip Myburgh began producing wine in 2001. Their best-selling wines are Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as the Shiraz and Pinotage varieties, which are highly regarded in Stellenbosch.
