MAN Vintners Shiraz

MAN Vintners Shiraz
An accessible Shiraz from South Africa that shows classic varietal characteristics: ripe plum, red berry fruits, and a warm spice from barrel aging.
MAN Vintners is a joint project of three South African winegrower families from the Western Cape region. The name stands for the initials of the three founders and reflects the ambition to produce handcrafted, solid wines with broad character — without unnecessary effort, but with a clear style.
In the glass, the Shiraz shows aromas of ripe plum and dark red berries, underpinned by vanilla and a hint of clove — the result of 12 months of aging in American barriques (25% new oak). The tannins are velvety and round, the acidity restrained, the finish warm and medium-long.
- Food: Roasted rack of lamb, BBQ ribs, chorizo, or mature cheddar

Man Vintners focuses on quality wines that offer outstanding value for money and come in attractive packaging. José Condé and the brothers Tyrrell and Philip Myburgh began producing wine in 2001. Their best-selling wines are Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as the Shiraz and Pinotage varieties, which are highly regarded in Stellenbosch.
