Late Bottled Vintage 0.375 l
Churchill's Late Bottled Vintage is port in its most approachable form: four to six years of cask aging before bottling makes it ready to drink without losing the depth of a vintage port. Touriga Nacional from the A vineyards of Cima Corgo, the heart of the Douro, forms its backbone.
Churchill's was founded in 1981 by Johnny Graham, whose family owned the renowned port wine house WJ Graham. After years as a winemaker at Cockburn's and Taylor's, he created his own house—named after his wife. Own vineyards, hand-harvesting, maceration in traditional lagares: the entire production process remains in one hand.
The glass reveals ripe blackberry and plum, along with aromas of fig and dried herbs, and a hint of jam in the background. It has a dense, velvety texture, well-integrated sweetness, and a long finish with a spicy note.
Serving temperature 16–18 °C . Pairs well with dark chocolate, blue cheeses like Gorgonzola, or a plate of walnuts after a meal. The 0.375-liter bottle is ideal if you're looking for a final drink to round off your meal without opening a whole bottle.
