Karl May Bechtheim Geyersberg Riesling dry

Karl May Bechtheim Geyersberg Riesling dry
A dry Riesling from one of the best sites in Rheinhessen — the Geyersberg in Bechtheim lies on the south-facing slope and produces grapes with ripe fruit and clear minerality.
The Karl May winery is one of the most reliable producers in Rheinhessen. The Geyersberg vineyard is a designated single site in Bechtheim, whose south-facing slope ensures good ripeness while maintaining a vibrant acidity – both classic prerequisites for a structured, dry Riesling.
The wine displays a pale yellow color in the glass. The nose offers aromas of apple, white peach, and acacia blossom, underpinned by a hint of vanilla. On the palate, the mineral character of the Geyersberg vineyard comes to the fore: firm acidity, low residual sugar, and a clean, lingering finish. James Suckling awarded this vintage 94 points, and Parker 92.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with fried pike-perch with caper butter, asparagus with hollandaise sauce or mild goat cheese.

The May family has been making wine in the Wonnegau region since 1815 – and it shows. Seven generations, one passion: authentic wines that taste of home. Today, Peter and Fritz May work together in the vineyard. Two brothers, one family, one goal: wines that don't deny their origins. The geological diversity of their vineyards in Wonnegau gives each wine its own unique character – mineral, complex, and distinctive. In the vineyard, the Mays practice organic viticulture. No rushing, but genuine craftsmanship that gives the soil and vines time to develop. You can taste the result in your glass: wines with character, wines that have something to say to you.
