JJ Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Cabinet

Mosel Riesling in its most classic form: light, precise, with that typical tension between fruit sweetness and lively acidity that makes Kabinett wines from the Graacher Himmelreich so long-lived.

J.J. Prüm is one of the most famous addresses on the Middle Mosel. The winery has been cultivating steep slopes in Graach, Wehlen, and Bernkastel for generations – exclusively on blue slate, which gives the Riesling its characteristic minerality and depth. The Graacher Himmelreich is one of the most renowned sites in the region, located right next to the Wehlener Sonnenuhr.

In the glass, the Kabinett shows aromas of peach, lemon balm, and a hint of white melon, underpinned by a fine herbal spice and the typical slate tone. On the palate, a fresh, precise acidity carries the delicate residual sweetness – not a contradiction, but the balance that distinguishes good Mosel Kabinett wines. The finish is long, slightly saline.

Tasting & Serving: Serve well chilled at 8–10 °C. With a few years of aging, it develops additional complexity. Pairs well with spicy Asian cuisine, steamed fish, goat cheese, or simply as an aperitif.
