JJ Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Cabinet

Mosel Riesling in its most classic form: light, precise, with that typical tension between fruit sweetness and lively acidity that makes Kabinett wines from the Graacher Himmelreich so long-lasting.

JJ Prüm is one of the most renowned wineries on the Middle Moselle. For generations, the estate has cultivated steep slopes in Graach, Wehlen, and Bernkastel – exclusively on blue slate, which imparts its characteristic minerality and depth to the Riesling. The Graacher Himmelreich vineyard is among the most prestigious sites in the region, located directly next to the Wehlener Sonnenuhr.

In the glass, the Kabinett displays aromas of peach, lemon balm, and a hint of white melon, underpinned by a delicate herbal spiciness and the typical slate character. On the palate, a fresh, precise acidity supports the subtle residual sweetness – not a contradiction, but rather the balance that distinguishes a good Mosel Kabinett. The finish is long and slightly saline.

Serving suggestion: Well chilled at 8–10 °C. Drinking window until 2032 – with a few years of aging it develops additional complexity. Pairs well with spicy Asian cuisine, steamed fish, goat cheese, or simply as an aperitif.
