Hawke's Bay Chardonnay Cellar Selection

Hawke's Bay Chardonnay Cellar Selection
Hawke's Bay, on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island, is considered one of the most reliable Chardonnay producers in the Southern Hemisphere—warm days, cool nights, and well-drained soils. The Cellar Selection demonstrates the results of this combination of climate and craftsmanship: a white wine with substance that nevertheless remains light on its feet.
On the nose, ripe peach and nectarine, along with a hint of honeydew melon and citrus peel. A subtle oak note in the background—present but not dominant—gives the wine depth without heaviness. On the palate, juicy fruit, a fresh acidity, and a lingering, slightly creamy finish.
- Temperature: 10–12 °C
- Dishes: Grilled salmon with butter sauce, chicken breast with lemon thyme, creamy pasta with mushrooms or mild goat cheese
- Drinking window: Now until 2027
An uncomplicated Chardonnay for a weekday evening — but with enough character to hold its own at the table.
