Göttlesbrunn Weiss DAC Carnuntum 0.75L

A white wine cuvée from Carnuntum that shows what this still young DAC region in Lower Austria can do: depth without heaviness, fruit with a clear line.

The Gerhard Markowitsch winery is one of the pioneers of Carnuntum — long before the region received its DAC status in 2019, Markowitsch was consistently working on highlighting the Pannonian terroir between the Danube and the foothills of the Carpathians. The continental climate with hot summers and cool nights gives the wines a good acidity structure that keeps even warmer vintages in balance. The wines are produced from organic farming.

In the glass, the Göttlesbrunn Weiss shows aromas of white peach and mirabelle, plus citrus zest and a subtle herbal tone. The Chardonnay brings melt and body, the acidity remains present and gives the wine drive. The finish is dry, medium-long, with a slightly mineral note.

Good with grilled fish, pasta with lemon sauce, or a mild goat cheese. Drinking temperature: 10–12 °C.
