Girlan Flora Gewürztraminer

Flora is the Gewürztraminer of the Girlan winery — aromatically clear, with the typical spiciness of the grape variety and the support of cool South Tyrolean mountain locations.

The Girlan winery is one of South Tyrol's most traditional cooperatives, founded in 1923 in the village of the same name, south of Bolzano. The Flora wine originates from two sources: one-third of the grapes come from the hillsides of the Überetsch region at 450–500 meters, and two-thirds from the western side of the Unterland region at 280–400 meters. The soils vary between gravelly-loamy and calcareous, giving the wine both aromatic richness and a mineral edge. The vines are 15 to 25 years old—old enough for concentrated fruit, yet young enough for freshness.

In the glass, the classic Gewürztraminer profile is revealed: rose, lychee, and orange blossom on the nose, along with a hint of white pepper and ginger. Medium-bodied on the palate, with a slightly oily texture and a balsamic-spicy finish of good length.

Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Pairs well with Asian cuisine featuring coconut milk or lemongrass, blue cheeses like Gorgonzola, onion quiche, or as an aperitif with savory snacks. Drink now until 2026.
