Champagne Moët & Chandon Impérial Brut – Moët & Chandon (France, Champagne) – The Brut Impérial is the heart of the house and sits at the center of the Moët & Chandon family. It is made from three grape varieties, with 25 to 40% reserve wines giving it maturity and depth. In the glass, you will find fruity notes, a ripe richness, and a creamy texture. Well-chilled at 6 to 8 °C, it is an aperitif for festive occasions.

Cherry Sour – Lakrids by Bülow (Denmark, Bornholm) – Johan Bülow founded the manufactory in 2007 on Bornholm. Soft liquorice balls are coated in a crisp cherry glaze: the tart fruit meets the round, slightly sweet liquorice core. This provides a counterpoint to the other treats in the set.

Tartufi dolci neri – Antica Torroneria Piemontese (Italy, Piedmont) – Dark chocolate truffles, each individually wrapped in gold foil and packed in a bag with a gold ribbon. They taste of dark chocolate, just as you would expect from a classic truffle.

Goes with: Serve the truffles after the meal with an espresso. You can open the champagne for a toast on Christmas Eve, with oysters, or with salty snacks. The cherry liquorice tastes great as a counterpart to salty appetizers and brings variety to the table.

You can now find the right wine faster. Above the wines in every category there is one row that brings it all together: Our picks, Occasion, Goes with, Wine style, Filters and Sort by.

  • Our picks. The "Our picks" button comes first. Choose "Great value" to see wines that deliver more than their price suggests. Some of them have been recognised by Falstaff and other critics for exactly that, the others we have picked for you.
  • Super Tuscans. On the Tuscany page, "Our picks" also takes you to the red cult wines that deliberately broke with the old appellation rules: Tignanello, Ornellaia, Sassicaia, Le Volte, Guado al Tasso and many more, from the first step up to large formats.
  • One tap, one choice. Tap "Occasion", "Goes with" or "Wine style" and pick what you are looking for, such as "Aperitif & spritz" or "Fish". The button then shows what is currently selected.
