A champagne, a jar of Danish liquorice, a gift box: This gift set contains three items that together make a complete present. The contrast is the idea. On one side, the dry, brioche-spiced cuvée from Champagne; on the other, soft liquorice balls with a crunchy cherry glaze from the Baltic Sea island of Bornholm.

Champagne Veuve Clicquot Brut – Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin (France, Champagne)
The house dates back to Philippe Clicquot, who founded a wine trading business in 1772. After her husband's death in 1805, 27-year-old Barbe-Nicole Clicquot-Ponsardin took over the business, the "Veuve" (widow) in the name. She brought champagne to the courts of Europe and exported it all over the world. In the glass is a Pinot Noir-dominant cuvée: brioche notes, ripe fruit, a dry finish. The fullness of the Pinot Noir gives the wine structure and makes it just as suitable as an aperitif as it is as a companion at the table.
Lakrids by Bülow Cherry Sour 270 g – Lakrids by Bülow (Denmark, Bornholm)
Johan Bülow founded the manufactory in 2007 on Bornholm and made Danish liquorice internationally known. Cherry Sour combines soft, slightly sweet liquorice balls with a tart cherry glaze. First, the sugar layer cracks with a distinct cherry note and fresh acidity, then the round liquorice core follows. The 270 g jar looks good on the table and is just as good for sharing.
Gift box black for 2 – Vinoscout
The anthracite-colored box is designed for two 0.75 l bottles and padded with black Sizzle Pak. It is finished with a decorative sticker and ribbon. This way, the set arrives at the recipient without the need for additional packaging, or directly to the delivery address if desired.
Tasting & Serving: Serve the champagne well chilled at 7 to 9 °C as an aperitif, with oysters, seared scallops, or gougères. Enjoy the liquorice balls when you want to consciously play with contrasts: the cherry acidity meets the fruit in the champagne, the liquorice meets the brioche note. Try both alternately and decide for yourself what you like better.
Three components, one price that is lower than buying them individually: As a gift for a birthday, for the end of the year, or as a host gift, the set seems well thought-out without you having to put anything together yourself. Anyone who likes to try new things will get an evening with champagne and liquorice that provides conversation from the first to the last ball.
