Generations of Neipperg Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
Neipperg's Generations is the entry point into the world of one of Saint-Émilion's most famous wineries — accessible, but with real depth.
The Counts of Neipperg have cultivated vineyards on the right bank of Bordeaux for centuries. Today, Stephan von Neipperg manages the family estate, which, in addition to the famous Château Canon-la-Gaffelière, also includes several other properties in Saint-Émilion. Cultivation and winemaking adhere to organic principles—the soils are worked without synthetic pesticides, allowing the terroir to speak for itself.
In the glass, the wine displays the classic profile of the Merlot-dominated Saint-Émilion: dark blackberry and plum, underpinned by cocoa and a hint of cinnamon bark. The tannins are soft, the body medium-full, and the finish pleasantly long with a touch of spice.
- Dishes: Entrecôte, lamb loin with rosemary, eggplant gratin
