A Sauvignon Blanc from Tuscany that shows what happens when this grape variety grows on sandy-loamy soils south of Siena: no Loire sharpness, no New Zealand exoticism, but Mediterranean directness with a clear line.

Tenuta Vallocaia is located in the Argiano region, one of the quieter corners of Tuscany, away from the Chianti routes. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented at a cool 12–14 °C — a decision that preserves the aromatic freshness and keeps the wine vibrant.

In the glass, fresh gooseberry, white peach, and a hint of citrus grass are revealed. The acidity is present but not aggressive, the finish clean and characterized by a light minerality. A wine you don't need to analyze for long—it simply brings joy.

Drink it well chilled at 8–10 °C with grilled sea bass, goat cheese bruschetta, or a light pasta dish with zucchini and lemon. It also makes a great, uncomplicated aperitif on the terrace. Drinking window: now until 2027.
