Garzon Sauvignon Blanc de Corte

A Sauvignon Blanc from Uruguay – that's not something you can take for granted. Bodega Garzón, located in the Maldonado Department near the Atlantic coast, shows with this wine that the South American country has more to offer than just Tannat.

The winery was established in the early 2000s on granite and limestone soils in the Garzona hills and is now considered one of Uruguay's leading producers. Its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean ensures cool nights and constant breezes – ideal conditions for aromatic white wines with a fresh acidity.

In the glass, this Sauvignon Blanc displays aromas of gooseberry and passion fruit, along with a hint of mango and green herbs. The palate is lively, the acidity firm without being harsh, the finish medium-long and spicy-fresh. Not a sumptuous, creamy style – this wine thrives on tension and directness.
